Abstract
A mount () for a fluorescent lamp () has a glass flare () with a first portion () penetrating the fluorescent lamp () and a second portion () the fluorescent lamp (). Two spaced-apart lead-in wires () are sealed in the glass flare (): and an electron emitter () is fixed between the spaced-apart lead-in wires () and mated thereto by an electrical connection ().
