Abstract
Novel chemical agents are described herein. More a ligand of general Formula I: wherein R, R, Rand R, are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Calkylthio, C(O)R, C(O)OR, C(O)NHR, Si(R), benzyl and aryl; X is selected from the group consisting of Cl, Br, I, OR, O-Prot, OPR, P(R), NHR, N(R), NHCSNHR, NHCONHRand SR; and Rand Rare independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, Calkyl, Calkenyl, Calkynyl, Calkoxy, phenyl, and aryl. These ligands are useful in asymmetric reactions as well as in asymmetric synthesis of molecules of biological interest.
