Abstract
It is intended to provide a power generating apparatus of renewable energy type that has a fixation structure of the hydraulic pump that can transmit large torque and can be processed with ease and at low cost even when the main shaft has a large diameter, as well as a method of installing such hydraulic pump. In the power generating apparatus, a connecting memberis provided on the outer periphery of a main shaftto engage with a cylindrical memberprovided on the outer periphery of the main shaft. The connecting memberincludes a fixing part, a first spline partand first pins. The fixing partis fixed to the outer periphery of the main shaftby means of the first pinsdisposed along a circumferential direction of the main shaft. The first spline partextending at other end of the fixing parton a rear-end side, has a clearance S between the outer periphery of the main shaftand the first spline partand first spline teethformed on an inner periphery facing the clearance S. The clearance S opens at the end of the fixing parton the rear-end side.
