Abstract
A thrust transmitting plateon a cylinder hole bottom side portion of an adjuster nut, a drive side cam plate, and a cam springfor biasing the thrust transmitting platetoward the drive side cam plateare accommodated in a generally cylindrical housing. Parts of the arc face of the circumferential wall of the housingare deformed inwardly to form flat portions. Engaging aperturesare formed in the flat portionssuch that the engaging protrusionsare movable only in the cylinder axis direction when they are engaged. Portions of the circumferential wall of the housingare protruded outwardly in convex shapes by presswork to form plural locking partsarranged in the circumferential direction.
