Abstract
Disclosed are compositions comprising an inner core and at least two surrounding layers. The compositions are suitable for use in humans and other mammals, particularly wherein a component of the inner core is susceptible to moisture. The compositions comprise an inner core comprising one or more components; an inner layer which surrounds the inner core, wherein the inner layer is selected from continuous coatings insoluble at a pH of about 3 or less, continuous coatings having a coating weight of from about 3 mg/cm, and combinations thereof; and an outer layer which surrounds the inner layer, wherein the outer layer is hydrophobic.
