Abstract
The present invention relates to a process for preparing quaternary ammonium compounds, which comprises reacting compounds comprising an sp-hybridized nitrogen atom with a dialkyl sulfate or trialkyl phosphate and subjecting the resulting ammonium compound to an anion exchange.
