Abstract
The invention relates to an ink jet recording medium, in which at least one of a substrate and an ink receiving layer contains a compound of the general formula (1): wherein Rand Rare individually a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a linear or branched alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, with the proviso that Rand Rmay be the same or different from each other, Ris a linear or branched alkylene group or arylene group, and X is an acidic solubilizing group.
