A hardwearing inkjet printhead comprises a substratehaving an ink ejection circuitand a patterned glass frit planarization layeron its surface. A ceramic bodyhas a substantially flat surfaceB intimately bonded to the planarization layer. The ceramic body and planarization layer together define at least one ink ejection chamberand associated ink ejection nozzlewith the nozzle and at least the major part of the height of the chamber formed in the ceramic body.
