Abstract

In an existing pipe rehabilitating method according to an embodiment, a profile strip () for lining an existing pipe () is shaped using a thermoplastic resin, joint portions () are provided at both end portions in a width direction of the profile strip, and the profile strip () is inserted into the existing pipe () and is helically wound in the existing pipe (). The joint portions () of adjacent windings of the profile strip () are interlocked with each other, thereby forming a rehabilitating pipe (). Also, the profile strip () of the rehabilitating pipe () is deformed by a heating step in which the profile strip () is subjected to a heating process so as to conform a shape of a curved portion () of the existing pipe (), thereby integrating the profile strip () with an inner peripheral surface of the curved portion () of the existing pipe ().
