Abstract
A base station () has an information acquiring unit () for acquiring information indicating an upper limit of a value based on the current consumption of a wireless communication terminal and the number of first frequency bands requested by the wireless communication terminal, a band number determining unit () for determining the number of second frequency bands to be assigned to the wireless communication terminal based on the acquired information indicating the upper limit of current consumption and a band number setting unit () for setting the number of first frequency bands to the number of frequency bands to be assigned to the wireless communication terminal when the number of first frequency bands is equal to or less than the number of second frequency bands and setting the number of second frequency bands to the number of frequency bands to be assigned to the wireless communication terminal when the number of first frequency bands is greater than the number of second frequency bands.
