Here either the one oscillating circuit () with the in entrance direction () first antenna coil () or the other oscillating circuit with the second antenna coil () is actuated by the reading device (), in order to read out data for the purpose of access authorization from a transponder () which is carried by a user and has a transponder coil () coupleable with the antenna coils (to). The oscillating circuit () not actuated by the reading device () is detuned or short-circuited.
