Abstract
The present invention relates to a device and to a method for shaping an optical lens. According to the invention, a selection is provided between either a first tool () for machining the edge face of the lens, and a cutter tool () for cutting through the material of the lens, for the purpose of performing at least one given shaping operation. The invention also provides a method of shaping an optical lens coated in a treatment with low surface energy, the method including cutting through the material of the lens.
