Abstract

A display media particle used for an information display panel having display media constituted of particles sealed between two substrates, at least one of which is transparent, for displaying information by moving the display media, is formed of a mother particlemade from materials including a base resin having child particlesadded to a surface thereof. The base resin is a thermoplastic resin having a viscosity of no more than 1000 Pa·s at 260° C. and a shear rate at 122 s, and a heatproof temperature at no less than 430° C. Since optimal conditions of the viscosity and the heatproof temperature are specified, it is possible to round the resin effectively by a heat treatment for spheronization as a post-treatment after manufacturing.
