Abstract
A transparent film, which has a rugged surface with tiny cilia, is prepared by the tetrapod-shaped ZnO (zinc oxide) nanopowders coated with polymers including CFand/or CHfunctional group(s). This transparent film possesses UV-shielding and water/oil repellent functions, which can be applied to textiles, glass, woods, ceramics, tiles, plastics, and metals.
