Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes a storage section that stores, for a management entity for which a memory area is to be formed, an authentication key and an encryption key. The information processing apparatus also includes a communication section that transmits an identifier of the authentication key, an identifier of the encryption key, and an areakey. The communication section receives, upon an authentication based on the authentication key and the areakey, data encrypted by the encryption key. The data indicates a size of the memory area. The areakey is stored in an area. The information processing apparatus further includes a forming section that forms the memory area starting from the area, based on the size of the memory area.
