Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing an anode for a lithium-ion battery, said anode comprising a current collector formed from a transition metal M in the form of a foam and an active material comprising a binary phosphide of said metal M, said active material corresponding to the formula MPin which 1≦x≦4. The method consists in subjecting the metal M foam to the action of phosphorus vapor at a temperature between 300° C. and 600° C., the phosphorus being present in a proportion which differs by at most 10% from the stoichiometric proportion relative to the metal M. The invention also relates to an anode for a lithium-ion battery, and to a lithium-ion battery comprising such an anode.
