Abstract
The invention provides a light emitting device having a low driving voltage and excellent durability by a material for a light emitting device expressed by the general formula (1): wherein each of R, R, R, R, Rand Rmay be the same or different and is selected from hydrogen, an alkyl group, and an aryl group, A represents an n-valent aromatic hydrocarbon group, B represents an alkyl group or an aryl group, X represents carbon or nitrogen, n represents a natural number from 2 to 6, and n substituents having a phenanthroline skeleton or a benzoquinoline skeleton may be the same or different.
