Abstract
A method and apparatus for facilitating carrying a Bluetooth assistant comprising two detachable parts, with an attachment system in the first part and a rotatable earpiece in the second part. A user can conveniently carry the Bluetooth assistant as a key chain or a clip, and when needed, can detach the second part, rotate an earpiece and use it as a headset. The second part can monitor proximity to a mobile phone when not used as a headset and alarm if the mobile phone is not in proximity. The second part can also serve as a wireless key for unlocking one or multiple doors, personal electronic devices and/or encrypted data. When the user acquires a new lock, the wireless key can be updated to unlock that new lock.
