The invention relates to a device to be used with a thread scheduling method, and to a thread scheduling method comprising the steps of performing a scheduling for threads to be executed by a multithreaded (MT) processor (), characterized in that the scheduling is performed as a function of a variable (idle) representing the processor idle time.
