Abstract

Provided is a relay station capable of reducing control information required for allocating a relay transmission channel in a mobile communication system. The relay station () includes: a demodulation unit () and a decoding unit () for demodulating and decoding a signal from a mobile station and channel allocation information from a base station; an extraction unit () for extracting a signal from the mobile station from signals inputted from the decoding unit () so as to output it to a coding unit () and extracting channel allocation information from the base station so as to output it to a channel setting unit (); the channel setting unit () for setting a channel transmission channel according to a channel allocation rule shared by the relay station () and the base station; the coding unit () and a modulation unit () for encoding and modulating the signal from the mobile station; and a channel allocation unit () for allocating the modulated signal to one of the relay transmission channels.
