Abstract
In order to increase the endurance and lifetime of highly loaded components () of a steelworks, an electrolytically applied coating () is provided, having a ductile metallic base material (), in particular nickel or a nickel alloy, with hard material particles (), in particular boron carbide particles, incorporated in it. This measure achieves high resistance to corrosion, good thermal conductivity and at the same time high mechanical loadability.
