Abstract
A method for handling a call in an Intelligent telecommunications network, wherein the following steps are performed by a controller () providing logic for the Intelligent telecommunications network:—receiving () a first information element relating to a precedence indicator of a call prioritization service,—sending () a second information element derived from the first information element to a switch () for the handling of the call according to a priority indicated by the second information element. The method is particularly suitable for CAMEL networks in which the call prioritization service is eMLPP.
