Abstract

The MFPcompresses the image data read by the scannerusing the JBIG format, and then stores the image data in the image-data storing unit. The converting unitof the MFPconverts the stored image data into a specific file format and then outputs this converted image data. Herewith, the user need not have the MFP read the original source once again even when image data of that source is requested to be output in a different file format.
