Abstract
The invention describes an improved method for the preparation of rubber compounds which comprises compounding the rubber and the components at 125-200° C. in the presence of an amount of 0.1-2% based on the weight of the rubber of a processing stabilizer of the formula (I) wherein Ris hydrogen, C-Calkyl, styryl, α-methyl-styryl or —CH—S—R; or C-Calkyl substituted with C-Calkenyl, C-Calkinyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, phenyl or tolyl; Ris C-Calkyl or —CH—S—R, Ris C-Calkyl; with phenyl, hydroxyl, cyano, formyl, acetyl or —O—CO—Rsubstituted C-Calkyl; C-Calkenyl, C-Calkinyl, C-Ccycloalkyl; or with hydroxyl, phenyl, 4-chloro-phenyl, 2-methoxycarbonylphenyl, p-tolyl, 1,3-benzthiazol-2-yl, —(CHR)COORor —(CHR)CONRRsubstituted C-Ccycloalkyl; Ris hydrogen or methyl, Ris hydrogen or C-Calkyl, Ris C-Calkyl; with oxygen or sulfur interrupted C-Calkyl; C-Ccycloalkyl, phenyl, benzyl or tolyl, Rand Rare independently of each other hydrogen or C-Calkyl, and n is 1 or 2.
