Abstract

A fabric treating composition comprising primarily an organopolysiloxane of formula (1) having a viscosity of 100 to 1,000,000 mPa-s at 25° C. is provided. Ris a monovalent hydrocarbon group, Ris a monovalent organic group of formula: —R(NRCHCH)NRRwherein Ris a divalent hydrocarbon group, Rto Rare hydrogen, monovalent hydrocarbon groups, or R, Ris a group of formula: —(CO—CHO)—R(Ris hydrogen or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, b is 1 to 50), a is 0 to 4, with the proviso that at least one of R, Rand Rpresent in the organopolysiloxane is R, Ris hydroxyl, —OR, R, or R, Rbeing a monovalent hydrocarbon group, m is 10 to 1,500, and n is 0 to 100, with the proviso that when n=0, at least one Ris R.
