A current collector forming an electrode for battery. The electrode current collector is made of copper or a copper alloy, and has a front surface color and a back surface color, at least one color of which is a color belonging to a color space represented by:50≦*≦80, 5≦*<60, 5≦*<60,where L*, a*, and b* are numeric values determined based on the L*a*b* calorimetric system described in JIS Z 8729.
