Abstract
Electrode active material of the invention is such that a LiPOphase is mixed in with an amorphous iron-phosphate complex having a LiFePOcomposition. Applying the electrode active material of the invention to a secondary battery inhibits an irreversible reaction which reduces the irreversible capacity, thus enabling a high capacity to be maintained even when it is used at a high potential.
