A telescopeincludes: a single objective optical system; and a binocular body member (); the binocular body member including a mount portionfor connecting to the objective optical system, and a controllerfor controlling the objective optical system, thereby providing a telescope capable of making binocular observation of an image of an object formed by a single objective lens.
