Abstract
A method of driving a display apparatus formed by arranging display devices each having a driving circuit and a current-driven type light emitting portion, the method comprising the steps of: performing a threshold voltage cancelling process in units of a display device row in which a predetermined reference voltage is applied to a gate electrode of a driving transistor of Q×N display devices configuring groups of display device rows and a predetermined driving voltage is applied to one source/drain region of the Q×N display devices so as to change the electric potential of the other source/drain region toward an electric potential calculated by subtracting a threshold voltage of the driving transistor from the reference voltage during a period T; and sequentially performing a writing process, in which video signals are applied to the gate electrodes of the driving transistor of N display devices configuring the display device row, Q times.
