Abstract
To facilitate seeing of the image on a peripheral region which may become difficult to see as the screen size increases. A stereoscopic two-dimensional image display device includes a display unitincluding an image display planeon which an image is displayed; an image transfer panelarranged apart from the image display plane, for imaging light emitted from the image display plane on an imaging planein a space, thereby displaying a stereoscopic two-dimensional image; and an optical path changing member (not shown) arranged between the image display plane and the imaging plane, for changing the optical path of the light emitted from the peripheral edge having a predetermined region constituting the image display plane. The optical path of light emitted from the peripheral edge is changed by the optical path changing means so that the light can be reached the eyes of a viewerwho sees at a near position.
