Abstract

Two rows of seats () and (), each having a seat cushion (), a backrest () and a head rest () with wings (). The outer seats () face in one direction whilst the middle seats () face in the other direction. The result is that the passenger in the middle seat () can look directly along lines of sight S at the passengers in the outer seats () of the next row and vice versa, which they would prefer not to be able to do. The lines of sight pass the wings () of the head rests in front of the passengers concerned. The wings () extend from the edges () of their head rests () and have (screens) pivoted to the outside of the wings at their proximal ends (). The screens comprise an outer frame () and a fabric screen material () within the frame. It is this material that interrupts the lines of sight S.
