Abstract
A system and method for transferring a fluid from a first container to a second container, the system comprising a first container () having a fluid () therein, the first container being sealed by a septum () and a piston (), the second container being sealed at its mouth by a pierceable septum () and having a plunger () at the opposite end, a moveable needle shuttle () having first () and second () piercing ends, the arrangement being such that upon advancement of the first container with respect to the second container, a second one of the piercing ends () is adapted to pierce plunger () of the second container and a first piercing end () being designed to pierce the septum () of the first container.
