Abstract

Disclosed are a method and a medium for cultivating the marine dinoflagellate. The laboratory culture ofcausing diarrhetic shellfish poisoning, whose cultivation was known difficult, has been first established, thereby contributing to a better understanding of ecophysiology, biology and toxicology ofspecies, as well as the evolution of dinoflagellate plastids.
