Abstract
There is provided a green-light-emitting device which has a high emission efficiency and a long continuous operational life, and which includes a pair of electrodes including an anode and a cathode; and a layer including an organic compound disposed between the pair of electrodes, wherein the layer includes a first compound represented by the general formula (I): wherein R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, and Reach represent, independently of one another, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, a substituted amino group, or a halogen atom; and a second compound with a pyrene skeleton or a fluorene skeleton having an energy gap larger than an energy gap of the first compound.
