Abstract

To provide an azo pigment excellent in coloristic characteristics such as tinctorial strength and hue and at the same time, excellent in the durability such as light fastness and ozone resistance, a pigment dispersion containing the azo pigment, a coloring composition, and an ink for inkjet recording. An azo pigment represented by the following formula (1), its tautomer, or a salt or hydrate thereof: (wherein R, R, R, Y, Z and G each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; n represents and integer of 2 to 4; and the formula represents a dimer through R, R, R, Y, Z or G when n is 2, represents a trimer through R, R, R, Y, Z or G when n is 3, and represents a tetramer through R, R, R, Y, Z or G when n is 4).
