Abstract
A method of selecting a private cell for providing communication to a communication device () in a communication system () comprising a plurality of private cells () comprises identifying () private cells available to the communication device for establishing communication, determining () a priority value from a plurality of priority values for each of the identified private cells for the communication device, and selecting () a private cell for providing communication from the identified private cells according to the determined priority values of the identified private cells. Each private cell may be associated with a predetermined type of private cell for the communication device. The priority values for each of the identified private cells may then be determined according to the predetermined type associated with the identified private cell. A method of synchronising a priority value of a private cell determined by the communication device with a priority value of the private cell determined by a network () is also disclosed.
