Abstract

When sample printing is executed, whether the printing is executed putting higher priority on the printing speed than the image quality based on printing data of each page or the printing is executed putting higher priority on the image quality than the printing speed is automatically judged and the sample printing is executed based on the judgment result. When the sample printing is executed, for each page, an image quality priority degree judging portionjudges whether the printing is executed in a speed priority printing scheme that puts higher priority on the printing speed than the image quality in printing or the printing is executed in an image quality priority printing scheme that puts higher priority on the image quality than the printing speed in printing, a printing scheme switching portionautomatically switches the printing scheme according to the judgment result, and the sample printing is executed.
