Abstract

An aspect of the invention provides an illumination structure that can illuminate both a neighborhood of an opening and a storage portion with a simple configuration. An illumination structureincludes an illumination deviceprovided in an openingof a vehicle, and a person can get on and off the vehiclethrough the opening. The illumination deviceis fixed to a step garnishprovided in a lower end portionof the opening. A translucent memberis provided in a bottom surface of a storage portionformed in a door lining. When a dooris closed against the opening, the storage portionis disposed on the step garnish, whereby the illumination structureis retained while the illumination device, a first translucent member, and a second translucent memberline up in the order from the bottom.
