Abstract

A device for detecting the angular position of a rotor of a polyphase rotary electrical machine contains a stator and a plurality of magnetic field sensors () delivering first signals (-) representing a magnetic field. The device includes means () for generating, from linear combinations of the first signals, first () and second () sinusoidal signals, phase-shifted by a determined value φ representing an angular position of the rotor, referred to as real. The device includes means for detecting a value for an angular position of the rotor referred to as estimated () by locking between the real and the estimated angular positions using a feedback loop known as a 'tracking' loop (--). The device may relate to a polyphase rotary electrical machine containing such a device.
