Abstract
A mullion assembly () includes a top mounting block () attached to a top beam () of a door frame (). A bottom mounting block () is mounted on a floor () spaced from the top beam () in a vertical direction. A post () is detachably mounted between top and bottom mounting blocks (). A brace () is mounted to a lower end () of the post (). A positioning rod () is mounted to the brace () and moveable between a locking position and an unlocking position to lock the post () between the top and bottom mounting blocks (). An anchoring rod () is mounted to the brace () and moveable between an anchoring position and a non-anchoring position, allowing further locking of the post () between the top and bottom mounting blocks () when the mullion assembly () is exposed to a fire.
