Abstract

The invention relates to an implantable orthopaedic device, in particular for the cervical spine, of the type formed by a support plate () provided with at least one orifice () for passage of a fixing screw (), which orifice () is provided with locking means comprising a slotted metal ring () accommodated in a receiving groove () on the circumference of said orifice () of the plate and intended to cooperate with an annular channel () formed in the screw head (). According to the invention, the annular chamber () of the screw head () is framed by an end of male spherical contour () and by a truncated annular protuberance (). This end of male spherical contour () is designed to cooperate with the complementary female spherical contour () formed on the upper flange () of the plate groove (). Moreover, the locking ring () is mounted 'floating' in its receiving groove (), and the channel () of the screw head () is connected to said annular protuberance () via a truncated part () allowing the screw to be undone.
