Abstract
Within a communication device, a method of managing a plurality of modems can include determining a first measure of transmission power for a first modem (), wherein the first measure of transmission power is a running total of transmission power for the first modem over a predetermined time period, and determining a second measure of transmission power for a second modem (), wherein the second measure of transmission power is a running total of transmission power for the second modem over the predetermined time period. If a sum of the first measure of transmission power and the second measure of transmission power exceeds a threshold during the predetermined time period, at least one predetermined action can be performed ().
