Abstract

The invention includes an end cover () for disposition over an end of a mantel (). The end cover () presents a front corner () extending between an upper wall () and a lower wall () and is symmetrical rearwardly to a pair of side edges () from the front corner () whereby the end cover () may be disposed over either end of the mantel (). The upper wall () of the end cover () extends between the front walls () and the side edges () and the lower wall () extends between the front walls () and the side edges (). The upper wall () and the lower wall () each has the shape of a square with equal sides. The front walls () define interior surfaces complementary to the irregular pattern of the decorative face () of the mantel () and the end cover () overlies the mantel () the thickness of each front wall ().
