A print order can be placed easily by use of a printing order reception apparatus. A printing order reception apparatushas slotsA toF for inserting therein various types of recording media and a digital camera including a recording medium. When the digital camera is inserted in the slotA therefor, printing processing is carried out according to a predetermined printing condition. When a recording medium is inserted in a corresponding one of the remaining slots, ordinary printing processing is executed wherein a user specifies an image to print, a print size, and a quantity.
