Abstract
The car power source apparatus is provided with a series battery arrayhaving a plurality of rechargeable batteriesconnected in series to supply power to an electric motor that drives the car, equalizing circuitsthat equalize batteryelectrical characteristics by discharging or charging each batteryof the series battery array, a cut-off mechanismconnected in series with the series battery arrayto disconnect the series connection, and a stopping circuitthat detects the cut-off state of the cut-off mechanismand controls equalizing circuitoperation. In this car power source apparatus, the stopping circuitdetects cut-off due to cut-off mechanismremoval and stops the equalizing operation performed by the equalizing circuits
