This invention relates to a compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof, and a therapeutic agent for osteoporosis, an osteoblast activator, and an osteoclast suppressor comprising the same: wherein X represents a halogen atom; Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted Calkyl, substituted or unsubstituted Calkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted Calkynyl, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group, substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl, substituted or unsubstituted acyl, substituted or unsubstituted arylsulfonyl, substituted or unsubstituted Calkylsulfonyl, or hydroxyl; Rrepresents substituted or unsubstituted Calkyl; R, Rand R, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or substituted or unsubstituted Calkyl.
