Abstract

A substituted phosphite suitable for lubricating base stocks and thermoplastic polymers represented by the structure: wherein Ris selected from the group consisting of C-Calkyl and C-Ccycloalkyl; Rand Rare selected to form a C-Caryl; and Rand Rare selected from the group consisting of H, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, and C-Caryl. The substituted phosphite may be combined with at least one primary antioxidant as well as other additives.
