Abstract

An organosilicon compound having an amino group is provided. This compound is represented by the following general formula (1): wherein Rand Rrespectively represent an unsubstituted or substituted aliphatic monovalent hydrocarbon group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms with the proviso that the Rand Rmay together form a ring with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, and that Rand Rmay contain a heteroatom; Rand Rindependently represent an unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of 0 to 2. Use of this compound enables production of a polymer product having excellent mechanical properties, high heat resistance, and high transparency. The solution of this compound is stable, and can be stored for a long time, and when used for a polymer modifying agent, it facilitates introduction of amino group and hydroxy group.
