Abstract
A side airbag apparatusis provided between topsof seat backs. When supplied with inflation gas from an inflator, an airbagis projected from a storage portion. At this time, the airbagis first inflated and deployed upward and forward at the height of an occupant, so as to be capable of restricting the movement of the occupant's head toward the inside of the vehicle at an early stage of a side collision.
