A level sensor, i.e., a light receiving section (X) having multiple light receiving elements (PDXto PDXn) arranged in parallel. In the level sensor, each two adjacent output terminals of the light receiving elements (PDXto PDXn) are connected by one of resistors (RXto RXn).
